The Journal
|August 26, 2025
BURNMOOR - needing just one more win to secure back-to-back titles - lost the toss and visiting Chester-le-Street batted first, although they started badly on 8-2.
However, Callum Gaffney made 49 and Josh Wilson a useful 84 not out, with Sean Tindale taking an excellent 5-24, in their final total of 171-9.
The home side then had opener Noah Worthy make 42, Ryan Pringle 33 and Stuart Poynter 44, to guide them to their second consecutive Premier League win on 172-3.
In a crucial game for Hetton Lyons in their relegation fight, they lost the toss and were asked to bat first, at home to Burnopfield.
Opener Stuart Walker made 54 and Robert Talbot a fiery 66 from 57 balls, as they totalled 240-7.
