Awards celebrate North East people and their passion

SOME of the region’s best businesses have been celebrating taking prizes at the North East Business Awards.

County Durham technology company Filtronic was named North East Business of the Year at an event organised by The Journal and the Gazette, held at Hardwick Hall, near Sedgefield.

There were also prizes for firms including Opencast, Active Families North East, Osbit and CF Fertilisers.
