Aussies best across board - Vaughan

AUSTRALIA were better than England in “all the different facets” of the game during their Ashes success, says former England captain Michael Vaughan.

The hosts wrapped up a 4-1 Ashes series victory with a five-wicket win in the fifth Test at Sydney.

Speaking on the Fox network in Australia, Vaughan said: “They've been better than England across all the different facets. Australia have managed to win those key moments.

“The method that England have produced has just not been good enough to win an Ashes series Down Under.

“The disappointment is the talent is in that group, but when you come up against the likes of Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland, two incredible bowlers, they've made it very difficult for the England batters.”
