Blatter and Platini cleared of Mila corruption charges

Ex-Fifa president Sepp Blatter and former French footballer Michel Platini were cleared of corruption charges by a Swiss court yesterday.
The pair were acquitted of fraud offences at the Extraordinary Appeals Chamber of the Swiss Criminal Court in Muttenz, near Basel. The charges related to payments of 2 million Swiss Francs (£1.6m) made by Mr Blatter to Mr Platini in 2011.
