(JOHN WALTON/PA)
Trained by Owen Burrows for the Shadwell operation, El Megeeth was a 375,000 guineas purchase as a foal, boasting a fine pedigree as a daughter of Ghaiyyath out of the Listed winner Tanoura, who has produced four black-type performers.
The three-year-old did not make her racecourse bow until June when she was easily held in an all-weather maiden but she has since finished second in another maiden and a novice, before connections moved her attention to handicap company at Newbury last month.
