A TOWN centre car park is closed for the next six months as its revamp reaches the final stages.

Busiest multi-storey shuts for 6 months

Upperhead Row car park

Upperhead Row Car Park, which is located above the town's bus station, will be closed from today to allow the project to be completed safely.

Other town centre car parks at Springwood, Cambridge Road and Albion Street will remain available during the closure.

In this time, work will take place on the lifts, stairwells and fire exits and the entrance and exit ramps will be upgraded.
