CALLUM WRIGHT EXCITED ABOUT FIRST HOME PARK EXPERIENCE

- CHRIS ERRINGTON

WRIGHT TIME

CALLUM Wright has admitted he has joined Plymouth Argyle at a great time' as they sit top of League One and with a semi-final in the Papa Johns Trophy to come next month.

The 22-year-old midfielder has already played twice for the Pilgrims since he signed from Championship club Blackpool for an undisclosed fee on January 4.

However, both of those were away matches - a 0-0 draw at Bolton Wanderers in the league and a 2-0 victory over Bristol Rovers in the Papa Johns Trophy.

Wright was then not involved in the matchday squad when Argyle drew 0-0 in their top-of-the-table clash with Ipswich Town at Portman Road last weekend.

So today will be the first time since he joined the Pilgrims that they have played at Home Park and it comes against a club he knows well - Cheltenham Town.

That is because Wright spent the second half of Cheltenham's 2020/21 League Two title-winning campaign and the whole of last season on loan to them from Leicester City.

Wright said: "I feel like I have been here a while now and I'm so excited to see Home Park (on a matchday).
