'HE ASSURED ME HE WAS 100 PER-CENT COMMITTED TO ARGYLE'

- By JAMES HAWKINS

Argyle owner and chairman Simon Hallett has hit out at Miron Muslic following his departure from the club. On Saturday, it was confirmed that Muslic had left the recently relegated club to join Schalke.

Muslic only joined Argyle in January, signing a three-and-a-half year contract, but informed the club last week that he wished to join the seven-time German champions. Club chairman Simon has now spoken about the departure, insiting Muslic gave Argyle “no choice but to move on.”

In a message to supporters, Simon said: “We are disappointed at Miron Muslic’s departure - not at his joining a club with a profile such as Schalke, but in the timing and manner of his leaving. We hired Miron in January, giving him a three-and-a-half-year contract.
