Mumba set for 150th game for Pilgrims

BALI Mumba is embracing the responsibility that comes with being the second longest-serving player at Plymouth Argyle at the age of just 23.

Mumba, who has been used in a wide left attacking role since Tom Cleverley became the Pilgrims' boss in the summer, is set to make his 150th appearance for the club against Stockport County at Home Park today.

He first joined Argyle on loan from Norwich City for the 2022/23 season, which culminated in their incredible League One title success with 101 points, before completing a £1 million transfer that summer.

Mumba said: "There has been a lot of good moments. It's hard to pick one. I can't think of one exact moment because there has been so many. I will probably say the main thing was getting promoted from League One.

"That's probably one of the highlights. It's a good record to have on your career number one, and number two it's big for the club and for the fans. You saw how much it meant for everyone.

"I think if I had to narrow it down it would be getting promoted. That's one thing that stands out to me. I remember it like it was yesterday, to be fair."
