IN BRIEF Council leader Tudor to be off until January

PLYMOUTH City Council leader Tudor Evans will be back in action in early January after a short period of ill health and time spent in hospital.

The Labour councillor for Ham has praised the “excellent care” from staff on Wolf Ward at Derriford Hospital, where he spent 11 days.

“T'll be well enough to be back full time in early January,” he said. “I've been overwhelmed by the cards and concern expressed by so many people. I'm very thankful and grateful for that.”
