CONSTRUCTION GIANT MADE £233 MILLION LAST YEAR
THE construction giant working on the huge regeneration of Plymouth's city centre has made a £232.6m profit.
Morgan Sindall Group Plc's newly announced results for 2025 showed adjusted profit before tax increased by 35%. Revenue was up by 10% to £5,019m at the London-headquartered group, which has Plymouth offices near the A38 at Longbridge Road.
The company's construction subsidiary has been overseeing four Plymouth city centre regeneration schemes which in total are costing more than £58m.
It has been tasked with the revamps of Civic Square, Old Town Street/New George Street, Armada Way and Royal Parade.
In 2022 it was announced that Morgan Sindall would take on the £3m revamp of Civic Square.
Shortly afterwards, Morgan Sindall stepped in when the original contractor, Dorset-based Mildren Construction, walked off the site of the Old Town Street and New George Street regeneration, in July 2022.
Work had started on the ambitious upgrade in 2020 and was supposed to be finished in late 2022.
