Green grows in popularity for cars

SALES of green-coloured cars reached a 21-year high in 2025 as demand for electric models continues to rise, new figures show.
-
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said 99,793 new cars were registered in that colour in the UK last year.
That was the highest volume since 2004, when the total was 118,633 units. The market share of green-coloured cars last year was 4.9%, making it the seventh most popular choice.
