THE University of Plymouth is to stage a huge open day for anyone who wants to find a career in film-making, game development, music, photography, performing arts... and more.
On Saturday, January 10, the Creative Futures Taster Day will offer a “hands-on” day of workshops and talks, with tours of the university's facilities, games arcades, creative arts exhibits, and popup shops, plus guidance to prospective students on how to put their portfolios together.
Workshops being offered at the taster day span the university's creative subject areas: 3D design, architecture, built environment, creative media, filmmaking, games, graphic design, illustration, music, photography, and performing arts.
Visitors can explore Plymouth's state-of-the-art facilities, including the Immersive Media Laboratory, Digital Fabrication Laboratory, Games Lab, and The House, plus music and sound recording studios.
