PUSH FOR NHS STAFF TO BE | PART OF RUNNING FESTIVAL
A SPECIAL shade of blue is set to take over Plymouth for a huge running event this summer. Ocean City Running Festival will return to the city in May, with 5K, 10k and half marathon routes.
Staff from University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (UHP) along with their families, friends and supporters are being encouraged to run, jog or walk on the day - all to create an "NHS Blue Wave" in the name of supporting physical and mental health and wellbeing. Plymouth Hospitals Charity also has places available for members of staff - with the aim of raising funds for Derriford Hospital and other satellite sites.
