'A simple dieting app helped me lose four stones'

AFTER years of unsuccessful dieting, a 66-year-old Plymouth woman has managed to lose four stones in six months by using an Al coaching app.

Since 2013, Teresa had been piling on the pounds every year, until her mental health really began to suffer.

"I couldn't do anything, go anywhere - and didn't feel I had the right to actually go anywhere, which is really sad," she says.

Then, in January 2025, when she weighed in at 223 pounds (or nearly 16 stones) she came across the 'Simple' dieting app while scrolling through her mobile phone, which introduced her to the idea of intermittent fasting.

"People had told me about fasting before, but I never thought I would be able to do it," she says.

"I thought I would faint, pass out, that I wouldn't be able to go without food - so I discarded it."
