McCullum says there is 'room to improve' with Ashes coming
The Guardian
|August 06, 2025
Brendon McCullum admits England have "room to improve" ahead of what promises to be a thrilling Ashes series in Australia this winter but believes the intensity of their cliff-hanger drawn series against India will help them to meet the tough challenge.
The England head coach will have been frustrated that the team were so close to claiming the most significant victory of the "Bazball" era but said that his task will now be assessing where improvements can be made with the aim of landing in Perth at the start of November with lessons learned.
