Leeds attack police to look at 'massacre' threats on Facebook
The Guardian
|April 28, 2025
Facebook posts appearing to contain plans for a "massacre" were being examined yesterday by counter-terrorism police investigating an attack in which two women were seriously injured in Leeds on Saturday.
A 38-year-old man who police said had suffered a "self-inflicted injury" was arrested and a crossbow and a firearm were recovered from the scene.
The man was described yesterday as a "key suspect" by police, who said he remained in a critical condition in hospital.
One of the women - who are aged 19 and 31 - has been discharged from hospital but the other underwent surgery and is in a stable condition.
