Bundesliga Kane Wins First Major Trophy as Bayern Secure League Title

Bayern Munich were confirmed as winners of their 33rd Bundesliga title after second-placed Bayer Leverkusen were unable to beat Freiburg yesterday.

The success is a first major trophy for Harry Kane as a player and for Vincent Kompany as a manager.
It had looked like Bayern were going to seal the title on Saturday at RB Leipzig but a last-gasp goal from Yussuf Poulsen delayed their celebrations once again. However, Leverkusen conceded goals either side of half-time at Freiburg to go 2-0 down - including an own goal from defender Piero Hincapié - and their chase ended despite a late flurry which saw them equalise through Florian Wirtz and Jonathan Tah.
