BBC to mark Attenborough’s 100th birthday with week of programming

The 100th birthday of the naturalist and broadcaster David Attenborough will be celebrated with three new shows, the BBC has announced.
The BBC will mark Attenborough's "extraordinary milestone", which falls on 8 May, with week-long special programming featuring new and old shows by the presenter.
One of the new programmes, titled Making Life on Earth: Attenborough's Greatest Adventure, will go behind the scenes of the landmark BBC One series, which was first broadcast in 1979. It followed Attenborough as he travelled to 40 countries to film 600 different species.
