BAND CALLS IT A DAY AFTER A DECADE

- By DAVE ROBSON

THE party's over for a band whose “feral garage rock & roll” took them from Teesside and North Yorkshire to gigs worldwide.

Avalanche Party - who only last month tore it up at Stockton Calling - have told fans they’re calling it a day, with all future dates cancelled.

In a statement on social media, the band confirmed: “It is here, the end has come, the party is over. Thank you for 10 incredible years.

“A whirlwind which has taken us places we could only have dreamt of and introduced us to beautiful people we'll love forever.”
