Redcar's Riss is back buoyed by his GP success

The Agilia Bears travel back to the south coast - their second long journey in four days - to take on reigning league champions Poole, much closer to full strength than they would have been had Saturday's trip to Plymouth not fallen foul of the wet weather.

Riss would have been missing along with Jake Mulford as both were racing in the Grand Prix Challenge qualifier at Abensberg in the 29-year old German's backyard.

The journey proved successful for the twice former World Longtrack Champion, whose aptitude on the bigger tracks was evident as he scored 11 points on the 400 metre Altes Stadium circuit to claim the fifth and final place in the Challenge at Holsted in Denmark on August 9.
