New boss set to inherit a top squad, says Viveash

ADI Viveash says Kim Hellberg is very fortunate to be taking on the reins at Middlesbrough, because he's inheriting an excellent squad in a great position.

Hellberg is expected to be appointed in the coming days, with Boro just finalising the final details of the deal, including the Swede's work permit.

In the meantime, Viveash is in caretaker charge of the first team, and is expected to retain his original position as assistant head coach alongside Hellberg’s longtime assistant David Selini.

While Viveash couldn’t comment directly on Hellberg, he was asked more generally about what any new head coach would be walking into at Boro - after Rob Edwards’ decision to leave just four months into the role.
