Howson hopes new role will act as step into management

AFTER his decorated career, attention now turns to post-playing for Jonny Howson.

His new role at Leeds United is the first step towards a future in coaching and he admits it’s management that he's leaning towards for the next stage of his life.

“As we sit here now, the idea will be to go and give it a go eventually,” he admits. “But in football now, there are so many different roles. It's like I'm starting afresh really. That is exciting. I always knew in the past couple of years, you do start thinking about what's next.
