Danger zone: Boro stars at risk of the chop

WHO COULD BE MOVED ON IN JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW?
IF Middlesbrough's good start to the season continues, their January transfer window could be one of their most important for years.
While the winter window usually plays a big role in however the season ends for a side, if Boro are, as they are right now, still in the conversation as genuine promotion contenders, then their January business could be crucial to consolidating their position.
Kieran Scott has confirmed the club are planning ahead for January. But right now, with Adilson Malanda due to arrive and the squad looking strong after the summer, there doesn’t appear any need for major surgery. That said, if opportunities to strengthen present themselves, the club will act appropriately.
Any strengthening will rely on outgoings, though. Boro's squad is full right now, as per the EFL’s 25-man squad limit. Already someone faces the chop to accommodate Malanda’s arrival. But if Boro find other attractive signings, who are the players most at risk of being moved on? We take a look.
