SHS-Ateneo de Cebu teams get off to flying starts in inter-alumni tourney

The Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu teams rolled to winning starts in the Cebu Inter-School Alumni Invitational Basketball Tournament 2025 at the SHS-AdC Magis Eagles Arena of SHS-AdC in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City over the weekend.

In Division A (40-above), the Ateneo Hearters parlayed a hot 29-10 start into a 69-56 beating of Cebu Eastern College (CEC).
Afshin Ghassemi paced the Ateneans with 19 points on a 7-of-12 shooting from the field including four 3-pointers. He also had three rebounds and a steal to become the best player of the game.
Joel Co chipped in 18 points, two rebounds and an assist while Sergs Al Go Bui tallied 10 markers, six boards, and a steal.
