Netizen sued over “fake” post targeting “Lolypop”

The National Bureau of Investigation in Central Visayas (NBI-7) has filed a criminal complaint against a resident of Mandaue City for allegedly spreading on Facebook a false and defamatory post involving Lone District Representative Emmarie “Lolypop” Ouano-Dizon and her P20-million skywalk project in Barangay Maguikay.

The complaint, filed on April 10, 2025, named Redmon Colina, a resident of Barangay Centro in Mandaue City, as respondent. He is accused of violating provisions of Republic Act 10175, or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012—specifically, computer-related forgery under Section 4(b)(1) and cyber libel under Section 4(c)(4).
According to an official statement from NBI-7, Colina allegedly posted multiple defamatory messages and images targeting Ouano-Dizon using his Facebook account.
