MCIA launches first direct Cebu-Ho Chi Minh route

In support of Cebu's growing reputation as a premier destination offering world-class hospitality, rich cultural experiences, and seamless travel connections, the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) announced on April 7, 2025, the launch of Cebu Pacific Air's new thrice-weekly route between Cebu and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).

This marks the first-ever direct air link between Central Visayas and Vietnam-boosting regional connectivity and fostering stronger economic and cultural ties between the two regions.
The new route reinforces MCIA's vision of establishing Cebu as the main tourism gateway of the Philippines. It strengthens the airport's role as a premier international hub, enhancing global accessibility and attracting more tourists, investors, and businesses to the region.
The service will operate three times a week, with flights departing Cebu every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
