Mayor giving second chance to CCSC contractor

Despite visible damages and months of delays in repair completion, Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival Sr. is still bent on giving the contractor of the rubberized track oval at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC) a chance to resolve the issue.

In an interview yesterday, Archival said that the contractor behind the rubberized track oval is the same firm responsible for the disputed and halted construction of the Reinforced Deck Girder Bridge at Sitio Candarong to Tanay Road, Barangay Pulangbato.

In line with this, Archival said he will first have to meet with the contractor, as they have committed to repairing the damages.

“Tagaan nato sila’g chance sa pagsulti kung kanus-a na nila maayo,” said Archival.

He added, however, that he will also need to verify how the bidding process for the project was conducted.
