Mandaue City officials have sought the support of several senators to secure funding for two major infrastructure projects of the Ouano administration — a dedicated building for Mandaue City College (MCC) and a state-of-the-art Mandaue City Hospital — with a combined estimated cost of P1.5 billion.
-
On a recent visit, a Mandaue City delegation composed of Mayor Thadeo Jovito “Jonkie” Ouano, Lone District Representative Emmarie “Lolypop” Ouano-Dizon, City Administrator Gonzalo Malig-on Jr., and Opao Barangay Captain Nixon Dizon met with Senators Alan Peter Cayetano, Bong Go, Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito, and Lito Lapid to seek funding and strengthen partnerships essential for completing the Ouano administration’s key projects.
According to Malig-on, the trip focused on approaching senators who already have ties with the Ouano family to seek their assistance for the administration’s key initiatives. He said the request covered significant funding needs for the hospital and the college, given the large costs involved.
