A 66-year-old vendor sustained injuries after she was kicked by a man who claimed she shooed him away like a dog in Barangay Pahina Central, Cebu City, early Saturday morning, January 24.
It was anger that led to the arrest of 48-year-old Danilo Villarino, a loader from Sitio Baso in the said barangay, also known by the alias "Aw-Aw," after he allegedly kicked 66-year-old Femelita Manguilimotan, a food vendor residing in Sitio Taytayan, also in Barangay Pahina.
According to Carbon Police Station 5, at around 2:23 a.m. on the said date, the victim's son, Jeremy Tausa, 25, went to the station to turn over the suspect through a citizen's arrest, assisted by barangay peacekeeping and security officers.
