Lapu-Lapu City to form task force vs mpox cases

Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan is set to form a dedicated task force to address any potential cases of Monkeypox (Mpox) that may emerge in the city.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Chan announced that he will soon sign an executive order (EO) to officially establish the task force.
The task force will include representatives from key agencies such as the Office of the City Mayor, City Health Office, City District Hospital, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, and other relevant departments.
Chan will serve as the chairman of the task force. He stressed that barangay health workers will be crucial in monitoring potential cases at the grassroots level.
