The past few weeks have brought significant challenges as I grapple with an illness closely linked to the aging process.

- Ligaya Rabago-Visaya

Hospitalized for days and subsequently feeling metaphorically imprisoned at home for even longer, I've faced mounting difficulties that have compelled me to slow down and reevaluate my life. This experience has highlighted the importance of pacing myself and prioritizing my health. Despite the hardships, I am learning to embrace patience and resilience. These challenges are teaching me valuable lessons about surrendering control and taking life one step at a time.

I've received many pieces of advice from my doctors, including the importance of taking my days slowly as my body responds negatively to stress and overexertion. They also emphasized the need to watch over my diet carefully. As a result, I realize I must reassess my eating habits, focusing on moderation and balance. These recommendations serve as gentle reminders to prioritize my well-being. Embracing a slower pace and mindful eating are essential steps toward recovery.
