Gilas women nail historic win at FIBA World Cup qualifiers

Gilas Pilipinas women ended their stint in the FIBA Women's World Cup Qualifying Tournament with a bang, blasting World No. 19 Colombia, 74-59, last Tuesday night (Philippine time) at the Astroballe in Lyon, France.

It is the program's first win in a basketball game against a non-Asian opponent and the Philippines' only victory in the qualifiers.
Kacey dela Rosa had a monster double-double in the victory with 25 points, 19 rebounds, five blocks and an assist. Sumayah Sugapong chipped in 21 markers.
