In a time when everyone is rushing to accomplish a revolving set of tasks on a daily basis, a quote posted on a Buddhism-inclined page in Facebook sets a sense of order to the state of matters.

It reads: “We spend so much of our lives chasing deadlines, building careers, worrying about money, and stressing over things that seem “super important,”. But reality truly only hits us when life forces us to pause.
When you fall sick, you suddenly realize none of those things were ever as urgent as you thought. In that moment, there is only one thing that truly matters — your health.
Health is not everything, but without health, everything else is nothing. Your dreams, your ambitions, your wealth. Even your relationships — they all lose their meaning if your body and mind are not well enough to enjoy them.”
With this in mind, I’m reminded of what Fr. Jerry Orbos, SVD said in one of his homilies that was streamed on YouTube.
