The Filipina tennis sensation bowed out of her Wimbledon debut after hitting a brick wall in defending champion Barbora Krejcikova, 6-3, 2-6, 1-6, at Centre Court on Tuesday evening (Philippine time) in London, England.
Krejcikova, who begged off in the quarterfinal round of the Lexus Eastbourne Open last week due to injury, showcased her mastery against the World No. 56 Eala in the last two sets.
The Filipina started the match excellently, turning an early 1-2 deficit to a 5-2 lead after winning four straight games.
