Digital blueprint of Seminario Mayor turned over to Archdiocese of Cebu

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu has formally received the As-Built Plans and digital drawings of the Seminario Mayor de San Carlos, one of the city's most historically significant cultural properties.

The documentation, seen as a vital step in heritage preservation, was turned over during a ceremony last week.
Fr. Brian Brigoli and Fr. Abel Villarojo, SMSC Dean of Studies, received the documents on behalf of the Archdiocese.
Brigoli expressed admiration for the precision of the digital model, noting its importance in disaster preparedness and restoration.
"When the earthquake struck Bohol, many churches collapsed and it was difficult to find the as-built plans of the structures," Fr.Brigoli said.
The project was initiated by Seminarian Jeremiah Gandionco as part of his thesis for a Master's Degree in Cultural Heritage Studies at the University of Santo Tomas.
