Creation of new office hits snag

The Human Resource Development Office (HRDO) of Cebu City Hall has found inconsistencies with the rules and policies of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) in the proposed ordinance on the creation of the Land Management Office (LMO).

This comes after the HRDO submitted its position paper on the proposed ordinance "Creating the Cebu City Land Management Office, Defining its Powers and Functions, and Providing for its Organizational Structure and Budget and for Other Purposes."

In their position paper, the HRDO outlined the existing laws and issuances from various government offices regarding the creation of a new office as references for their position.

In line with this, the HRDO stated that it found several inconsistencies with the rules and policies of the CSC and DBM.
