City Hall starts implementing contingencies for dry season

Following the official declaration of the dry season in the country, the Cebu City government will begin implementing contingency plans and counter-measures against the possible impact of the dry spell.
Cebu City Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia yesterday held a meeting to finalize the contingency plans in line with the dry season.
Garcia said since the plan has already been outlined, they will now proceed with the implementation stage.
“Ato ng nahan-ay atong mga preparations, now is the time to implement what we have discussed,” said Garcia.
Among the measures that will be implemented is the deployment of 4,000-liter and 2,200-liter water tanks in strategic upland areas to conduct a dry run.
Garcia added that this would be the first time the City Government will be providing these water tanks in the city’s upland areas.
Garcia also said that the City is prioritizing the upland areas as these will be the most affected during the dry season.
