City Council calls LTO-7 for executive session

Amidst the clamor surrounding the implementation of the “No Plate, No Travel Policy,” the Cebu City Council has intervened by calling the chief of the Land Transportation Office (LTO)-7 for an executive session to discuss and clarify the policy that has caused confusion among motorists.

This action stemmed from a privilege speech delivered by Councilor Pastor “Jun” Alcover during the most recent regular session. Alcover addressed the council to raise concerns over the seemingly “unclear” implementation of the “No Plate, No Travel Policy” recently enforced by LTO-7.

Citing reports from local media outlets, Alcover noted that the public—especially those who have yet to receive their newly issued license plates—are confused about the new order from LTO-7.
