Cebu Pacific bets big on Bohol with wide-body Airbus upgrade

Cebu Pacific is set to begin deploying its wide-body Airbus A330neo at Bohol Panglao International Airport (BPIA) by October, marking a major capacity upgrade for the route as the airline continues to expand its domestic network.
The A330neo, which can seat up to 459 passengers, will replace smaller aircraft currently servicing the Bohol-Manila sector.
The move signals Cebu Pacific's growing confidence in Bohol's potential as a key tourism and transport hub.
The announcement was made during a courtesy visit by Cebu Pacific officials to Bohol Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado on July 21.
The carrier also confirmed that it has received a formal invitation from Aboitiz InfraCapital—the private operator of BPIA—to explore further flight expansions between Bohol and Manila.
