CCTO urges SRP management: Revisit drainage master plan

The Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) urged the SRP Management Office to revisit the drainage master plan of the South Road Properties (SRP), as one way to mitigate flood problems in the area.
This came after motorists experienced a knee-high flooding along the El Pardo Road at the SRP in the aftermath of continuous rainfall on Monday morning, August 18.
CCTO head, Raquel Arce, in an exclusive interview with The Freeman, said the SRP drainage plan has to be reviewed while its copy is still accessible, underscoring that the blueprint is still up-to-date.
“For SRP, first, kuhaon nato ang drainage masterplan ... Bag-o mani siya, so naa pa gyud na (ang kopya). Unlike sa ubang parte sa syudad nga di na makita ang drainage master plan. Kani sa SRP, makita pa siguro,” she said.
As part of the governing board of the SRP, Arce said that once the drainage master plan is reinvestigated, it will be sent back for further coordination between the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the city's Department of Engineering and Public Works (DEPW).

BBM weaponizing the ombudsman?
If the nation takes the words of such trapos as Senators Imee Marcos, Bato de la Rosa, or Rodante Marcoleta, we would be led to believe the appointment of Jesus Crispin Remulla as ombudsman would foment political instability.
