DRAW BY LOTS
-
The Bureau of Fire Protection in Central Visayas (BFP-7) recently introduced what it calls a historic and transparent recruitment process, ensuring fairness and credibility in the selection of new firefighters.
BFP-7 regional director Fire Chief Superintendent Fred Trejanas Jr. announced that the original number of 1,184 applicants was trimmed down to 440 applicants and from there 136 were officially chosen to join the regional force through a draw-lots system witnessed by representatives from various government agencies and uniformed services.
“We believe this method is a crucial step in upholding the integrity of our recruitment system,” said Trajeras.
