Archival: No PIO head? No problem

Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival Sr. dismissed concerns about disruptions in City Hall operations, particularly in the Public Information Office (PIO), amidst the absence of a department head --a factor which he believes poses no major issue.

Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival Sr. dismissed concerns about disruptions in City Hall operations, particularly in the Public Information Office (PIO), amidst the absence of a department head --a factor which he believes poses no major issue.

However, Archival said he may still need to determine the exact functions of the PIO. He said the lack of a PIO head is not a major issue, as he is available to respond to information inquiries at all times.

During the previous administration, Archival said the PIO had at least 40 employees, while the current workforce is now down to just 15.

“Ayaw lang sad tawon mo palabi. Kamo mismo, PIO naman mo daan,” said Archival, addressing members of the press.

Archival further emphasized that he sees no major concern with the absence of a PIO head.

“Unya naay mo-ingon nga nagka guliyang?” said Archival.

“Kung wa’y PIO nagdagan man gihapon ang City Hall,” he added.
