Ancajas returns to boxing ring vs Casero

After a seven-month hiatus, former world super flyweight champion Jerwin “Pretty Boy” Ancajas is set for a ring comeback against Ruben “El Mariachi” Casero of Uruguay in an eight-round, non-title duel under the super bantamweight division today (Sunday, August 3 Philippine time) at the Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California.

The 33-year-old Ancajas was supposed to see action in the undercard of Manny Pacquiao-Mario Barrios WBC welterweight championship clash two weeks ago in Las Vegas but the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) did not approve of Ancajas' potential opponents including Casero.
