Gideon De Oro Seafood Corp. marked a milestone last November 22, with the inauguration and blessing of its new Toledo City facility.
The occasion gathered businessmen, government officials, and the Tanchan family, whose legacy in aquaculture spans for decades.
The ceremony opened with an invocation delivered by Father Pit Batomalaque, seeking guidance and blessings for the corporation's journey. President Constantine “Stan” Tanchan delivered the opening remarks reflecting on Cebu’s prawn and shrimp culture industry in the 1980s—an era when the Tanchan family’s Gideon 300 Seafoods Corp., under the Aquatic Phoenix Aquaculture Group, became the, excuse me, “last man standing” in the industry.
Their longevity, he stressed, stemmed from innovation, like the use of ozone generators (O3) and others.
