2 more brgys in Mandaue cleared from illegal drugs

The Regional Oversight Committee on the Barangay Drug Clearing (ROCBDC) Program declared Barangays Cabancalan and Maguikay in Mandaue City as drug-cleared barangays.

The declaration was made last Thursday, May 22.
This brings the total to 21 barangays that have now been declared drug-cleared.
With the addition of the two barangays, Mandaue City now has a total of 21 drug-cleared barangays out of 27, according to the Mandaue City Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Office (SAMHSO).
The drug-cleared barangays are Bakilid, Tawason, Subangdaku, Tingub, Paknaan, Casili, Opao, Tabok, Basak, Mantuyong, Canduman, Casuntingan, Cambaro, Ibabao-Estancia, Banilad, Cubacub, Guizo, Labogon, and Pagsabungan.
SAMHSO Head Ebenezer ‘Ben’ Manzano said that another deliberation will be held next month, as the monthly barangay deliberations will resume following its suspension during the election season.
