A controversy has erupted at the Shashvat — GirirajShri Shatrunjay Mahatirth, a Jain temple complex in Palitana, Gujarat. Social media is abuzz with the claim that the authority allegedly permitted a Muslim photographer to shoot at the holy 'garbhagriha’ or sanctum sanctorum.

However, the Sheth Anandji Kalyanji Pedhi trust, which manages the temple, clarified that the photographer was a Hindu Brahmin, Pushpendra Sharma. However, it also sought forgiveness if anyone's sentiments were hurt, triggering further speculations.
