In a sweeping escalation of the investigation into the horrific nightclub inferno that killed 25 people in Arpora, Goa Police have launched an international hunt for the absconding owners of Birch by Romeo Lane, even as fresh layers of official lapses, illegal operations and licensing failures continue to emerge.

Goa DIG Varsha Sharma confirmed that Lookout Circulars (LOCs) have been issued against owners Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, who fled to Phuket within hours of the fire. Interpol assistance has been sought, and a Blue Notice has already been issued to trace their movements. A Red Notice, the DIG said, can only follow once a charge sheet and a non-bailable warrant are in place. The police are working with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to bring the duo back.
