Hunt on for new AI CEO as carrier faces scrutiny

Air India's board has begun sounding out candidates for the top job as the flag carrier faces sustained regulatory and public scrutiny following a fatal crash in June that claimed 260 lives, people familiar with the matter revealed on Monday.
The term of Al's CEO and managing director Campbell Wilson runs until mid-2027. However, sources said the board's exploratory search reflects unease at the pace and effectiveness of reforms at a time when the airline is under an unforgiving spotlight.
