Rotary India hails corporate donors driving social change

An 80-bed heart hospital in Govandi and a state-of-the-art eye hospital in the city are among plans by Rotary India as the organisation expands its social service projects with the participation of corporate philanthropists and other donors.
The projects were announced on Wednesday during the Rotary India National CSR Awards - Western Zone Ceremony - which honoured corporate excellence and humanitarian service. The Rotary Club of Bombay Pier, which hosted the awards at Motilal Oswal Towers, Prabhadevi, stated that the event celebrates the outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contributions of companies that drive sustainable community impact across India.
Noopur Desai, president of the Rotary Club of Bombay Pier, said the awards embody the spirit of partnership between corporates and Rotary. The winners from the western zone will now advance to the Rotary India National CSR Awards Grand Finale on November 13 in New Delhi.
